Richard Walter Jaracz, age 90, resident of Naperville since 1968, passed away on July 3, 2017 surrounded by his wife and ten childrenRichard was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 27, 1927 to Joseph & Sophie (nee: Barber) Jaracz. He served in World War II from 1945-1946 during the occupation of Japan. He returned home to graduate from Case Western Reserve University in 1950. He immediately went to work for Swift & Company and after relocating 10 times, ended his career in 1985 in Naperville as Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of what became Swift Independent Packing Company.  Richard is survived by his sisters Alice (Dodosh) and Dolores (Furda). He is also survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Jakubko) Jaracz. They married on July 5, 1952 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Together, they loved, laughed, traveled and shared their gifts, which impacted lives in their community and all over the world – from family in Poland to a school/church community in Haiti and the current Naperville community as founding members of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.  Most inspiring was their love for each other.  During their 65 years of marriage, Richard and Dorothy created a loving, beautiful family: David (Eileen), Sandy (David) Nurse, Kathy (Joe) Tormos, Dan, Rick (Dianne), Debbie (Don) Roseen, Steve (Adam Cartwright), Lisa (David) Andrews, Linda (Jeff) Hauser and Becky (Matt) Kohl.  He was an adored and cherished grandfather to Ryan, Kristy, Kelly, Jason, Joe, Melani, Alyssa, Chris, Cori, Andrew, Eliana, Alec, Erin, Frankie, Freya, Peter, Benjamin, Meghan, Milo, Greta, Stella and great grandchildren Jack, Emma, Mia and Max.  He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and good humor, which allowed him to make friends wherever he went.
