Jay Schweikart

March 29, 1962 - July 01, 2017

Jay Schweikart, age 55 a long-time resident of Naperville died on July 1st, 2017. He was born on March 29th, 1962 in Lorain, Ohio to his parents John and Jean Schweikart.

Beloved Husband of Kathleen Schweikart (nee Murphy), devoted father of Timothy, Jamie and Joseph. Caring brother to Judy Schweikart, Jack Schweikart (Debbie), Jim Schweikart (Terri) and Joan Hooper (Ken). Fond Uncle, Cousin and friend of many.

He grew up in Homewood, IL and attended St. Joseph Grade School and Marian Catholic High School. Jay graduated from Illinois Benedictine College with a dual degree in Accounting and Economics in 1984.

Jay worked in the healthcare field for 34 years including Holy Cross and Mount Sinai hospitals, and for the past 14 years as District CFO for the hospital division of Kindred Healthcare.

Jay enjoyed coaching his children’s sports as they grew up and supporting them in all of their activities. He loved watching the Chicago Cubs with his kids and spent many of his nights watching the Chicago Blackhawks with his wife. Biking, taking long family walks with the dog, and working puzzles were a few of many things he liked to do in his free time. Jay’s family and friends were blessed by his compassion, thoughtfulness and natural ability to listen and guide, and his quick wit brought joy and laughter to all. Jay, we will miss you dearly.
