Valdas Sedys, age 54 of Plainfield, IL formerly of Lithuania, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center of Joliet, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born December 16, 1957 in Lithuania. Loving husband of Loreta Sediene, wedded July 26, 1980. Beloved father of Arturas Sedys of Plainfield, IL and Aidas (Amanda nee Carroll) Sedys of Plainfield, IL. Fond brother of Nijole Kaveckiene of Lithuania. Cherished son of Genovaite Sedys and the late Alfonsas Sedys. Dear son-in-law of Antanina Pacerzinskiene.

Employed by Richards & Weyer Construction Company for 10 years and member of the Brick Layer and Allied Craft workers Local #74 of Illinois.

Visitation: Sunday, September 16th 1:00-7:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544.

Additional Visitation: Monday, September 17th 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 6812 S. Washtenaw Ave., Chicago, IL 60629.

Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 PM at Church.

Interment, at a later date, Lithuanian National Cemetery, Justice, IL.
