Francis E. "Frank" Pratt

Francis E. “Frank” Pratt, age 86, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1976, formerly of Chicago, IL, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. He was born July 24, 1926 in Chicago.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Tangney) Pratt, whom he married July 7, 1956 and who preceded him in death April 18, 2006, loving father of Kathryn M. Pratt of Westmont, IL and the late Brian F. Pratt, adored grandfather of Jillian B. Pratt, devoted son of the late Arthur and Kathryn “Becky”(nee Doyle) Pratt, dear brother of Arthur H. (Lynette) Pratt, Jr. of Mountain Home, AR and Edward (the late Patricia) Pratt of Alsip, IL, fond uncle of 12, brother-in-law of Richard (the late Jeanne, nee Tangney, sister of Mary) Nielsen.

Frank grew up on Chicago’s South Side and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. He was a 1944 graduate of Leo High School and attended the University of Chicago. Frank first worked for Commonwealth Edison and later for International Paper Company, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a founding member and devout parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville. Frank enjoyed golf, nature, travel and the company of good friends.

Funeral Information

Visitation Monday, February 18, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 19, 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.

Interment: Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
