Homer Joseph Coutu, age 91 of Fox Lake, IL at rest Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Center in Naperville, IL. Born February 9, 1921 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Homer and Catherine Coutu. Beloved husband of the late Renee, loving father of Catherine (Peter) Maier, Homer Joseph Coutu, Elise (Michael) Hayes, Francine (Charles) Rehor, James (Michele) Coutu, Carolanne (Mark) Towne and the late Renee (Ernest) Redfern. Cherished grandfather of David (Renee) Dvaro, Luke Coutu, Annrena (Daniel) Kim, Daniel Coutu, Cristina (Gregory) Kingsley, Elise (Charles) Cook, the late Jonathan Jacinavicius, Alan Jacinavicius, Amber (Michael) Roswell, Jeffrey Redfern, Stefanie Redfern, David Potash, Diana Coutu, Jessica (Caroline) Potash, Samuel Towne, Joseph Redfern, Leonard Towne, Michael Hayes, II and Charles Rehor, III. Fond great-grandfather of Rob, Mason, Kyla, Kyler, Rory, Alexander, Avan and great-great grandson Braydon. Dear uncle of several. Preceded in death by his sister Carol Fowler and his brother Alfred Coutu. Homer served in the US Army/Air Corp during World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts. Visitation Monday, June 18, 2012 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville, IL 60540.
