William G. "Bill" Allen

June 21, 1986 - January 24, 2016

William G. "Bill" Allen, formerly of Minooka, IL, age 29, was born on the first day of summer, June 21, 1986. He passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at his home after a ten year battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma.

Bill grew up in Minooka with his one brother and three sisters. Bill was happily married to Ashliegh (nee Leyva) Allen on September 27, 2014. Bill was a proud Eagle Scout and a member of the University of St. Francis tennis team. Bill participated in the local 4H as a child. He also participated in Hapkido for three years.

Bill went to Joliet Catholic Academy and graduated in 2004. He then went on to attend college for a year at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. After Lewis he went on to complete his bachelors of Psychology through the University of St Francis in Joliet (Class of 2010). Bill was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Joliet IL and Knights of Columbus Council #14283.

Bill was employed as a pharmacy technician by Minooka Pharmacy 2004-2010, Costco Wholesale in Oakbrook, Illinois 2010-2013. Bill then moved to Issaquah, WA, where he was a pharmacy training coordinator for Costco Wholesale 2013-2016.

Beloved husband of Ashliegh (nee Leyva) Allen of Naperville, IL, loving son of Carol (nee Bellus) and Charles Allen of Minooka, dear brother of Anne Allen of Oswego, IL, Lisa Allen of Minooka, Katherine (Frank) Koncar of Joliet and brother, Michael (Meghan) Allen of Chicago.

Funeral Information

Visitation Friday, January 29, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville.

Everyone will meet Saturday, January 30th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2500 Arbeiter Rd, Joliet IL, 60431 for a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.

A private luncheon will be held at Cemenos, 1630 Essington Rd., Joliet, IL 60435 by invitation only.
