Florence L. Davis, “Floss”, age 78, a resident of Crest Hill and formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 4, 1934 in Woodlyn, PA. Floss is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Don; her devoted children, Brian (Lisa) Davis of Independence, KY, Kevin (Jennilyn) Davis of Joliet, IL, Linda (Jim) Schwartz of Bolingbrook, IL and Kimberly (Virgil) Neace of Bolingbrook, IL; her wonderful grandchildren, Chrissy, Stacy, Jake and Carly, Bob and Jon; her special great-grandchildren, Maggie, Aubrie, Chelsea, Arissa, Alex and Connor; as well as a lifetime of great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Nevin; and her siblings, Helen, Herbert and Charles. Floss was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing. Funeral InformationVisitation will be Thursday, December 20, 4:00-9:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield. A Celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Friday, December 21, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. |
