LUCY (LAUTER) GLASS 80, of Northbrook Illinois, passed away December 19, 2012.
Lucy was born in Chicago to the late George and Elysabeth Lauter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Glass and sister Joan Cole.
Survived by daughters Lori Wondrasek (late Arthur) of Burr Ridge , IL and Susan Lineback of South Bend , IN. Grandsons, Dalton and Austin Lineback. Niece Mary (Gerry) Batsford, Nephews, Todd , Andrew, and Peter (Anne) Strauss. Great Nieces Maggie, Erin and Emily Batsford, Catherine and Emma Straus and great nephew Noah Straus. She was also preceded in death by Granddaughter Faith Lineback.
Lucy was in the furniture business for many years in Chicago, but her real love was working for the Park District at many golf clubs in the area. There she met her very dear friends that survive, Joyce, Tom, Steve, Stan, Barbara and too many more to name. She was loved by everyone she met there. Lucy golfed up until last year when she had to stop due to health reasons.
She loved playing in her weekly card games, playing the slot machines at the casino and her Sunday breakfasts with friends. She loved Maxes Deli and Butterfields and knew everyone there by name.
She spent part of her winters every year in Arizona with her daughter Lori, which she looked forward to.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no service. There will be luncheon for family and friends at a later date to remember her.
