Charlotte Marie Kennedy (nee Kakacek), age 81, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1993, formerly of Berwyn, Lombard, IL and Pompano Beach, FL, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Mendota, IL. She was born January 9, 1931 in Berwyn, IL. Loving wife of the late George O. “Bud” Kennedy, whom she married September 10, 1949, beloved mother of Katherine A. Kennedy, Charles J. (Catherine) Kennedy, Patrick M. (Leslie A.) Kennedy and Mary E. (William E.) McWade, adored grandmother of ten, cherished great-grandmother of one, devoted daughter of the late Charles and Tilli Kakacek, fond aunt of many. Charlotte was a 1948 graduate of Morton West High School in Berwyn. She was employed by Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL for twenty years and for the next twenty years at North Broward Hospital, Deerfield Beach, FL. Charlotte was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Naperville and St. Pius X Catholic Church, Lombard, IL. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Visitation Saturday, July 14, 8:30-10:30 A.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin Saturday, 10:30 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to an 11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
