Visitation & Memorial Visitation
Visitation provides a timeframe and place for family and friends to offer their expressions of sympathy. A traditional visitation followed by cremation allows family and friends the opportunity to say goodbye through the viewing of the deceased. A memorial visitation differs in that an urn or picture is the public expression of a loved one, they are not present to be viewed. A family may choose to display photographs, prized possessions and other items representing his/her hobbies and/or accomplishments. A more recent trend is to play a DVD with pictures, video and music continuously throughout the visitation.

Funeral Service

Funeral services may be conducted at our funeral homes or at a church, temple or even a personal residence. Our facilities include graciously appointed chapels, conference rooms and lounges to accommodate all families’ needs. Funeral services may be traditionally oriented offering verses from scripture and biblical hymns or they can be designed to be eclectic in nature catering to eulogies, poetry and modern music. We will assist your family in selecting clergy or celebrants to best serve their wishes and honor their loved one in whatever style of service they request.

Memorial Service
Memorial services offer all the same options as a funeral service, differing only in that the body is not present for services. An urn may be present or photographs as a public expression of a loved one. A personalized memorial service with floral tributes, photographs and memorabilia can be held at one of our funeral home chapels or a location of choice.

Graveside, Chapel or Committal Service

Services may be held at the cemetery or crematory of your loved one’s choice. Those services would typically include traditional or ground burial, entombment or inurnment. We will coordinate a funeral procession following a funeral or memorial service or meet family members at the cemetery or crematory, the choice is yours.

Permanent Possession

A family member or friend retains the cremated remains as a cherished possession. Some families will choose to split the cremains so multiple family members have the opportunity to keep their loved one with them. There are many urn choices as well as keepsakes and jewelry to assist families in meeting their wishes.

Scattering

Scattering of cremated remains can represent a permanent oneness with an important place. Some options include family property such as a summer home or pond. Some cemeteries and churches offer memorial gardens designed for scattering. Scattering is regulated by state law. Our directors can provide you with guidance as to what is allowed.

Out of Town Arrangements

Full coordination of bringing your loved one back home or transporting your loved one out of town or out of state for is available for any type of services desired. Completion of all permits, preparation and dressing, obituary notices, transportation services, use of facilities and staff will be taken care of by us.
