Memorial Luminary Program
Each holiday season families served over the past year are invited to participate in the lighting of their loved one’s candle at an annual memorial luminary program. Families are encouraged to personalize and decorate their loved one’s luminary bag with photographs, poems or letters. The luminaries are placed around the funeral home in memory and celebration of these loved ones. Upcoming luminary dates:
• November 17th, 2010 - Friedrich-Jones in Naperville
• December 1st, 2010 - Overman-Jones in Plainfield

Spring Seed Memorial Program
As the spring season promises a new beginning in nature, it also provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the many changes that occur throughout our lives. Each spring we offer families a means to remember those who have touched their lives by providing them with forget-me-not wildflower seeds to plant as they wish and a poem.

Batesville Living Memorial Tree Planting Program
When families select a Batesville casket or cremation product, Batesville will plant a tree in a national forest to keep the memory of their loved one alive and to protect the environment for future generations. Friedrich-Jones and Overman-Jones are pleased to participate in this “growing” legacy.

“On Saturday, Overman-Jones had a tree of remembrance memorial service for all the families of the people they took care of. The service was lovely, and needless to say, I cried my eyes out because it was such a beautiful service. We in Plainfield should feel honored to have such a caring funeral home in our town.
